The PONTUS II 12th sounds a bit bright to my liking, even compared to my SABRE32 DAC. I have highly resolving loudspeakers and I'm sensitive to sibilance. This may be caused by slightly recessed upper mids. Furthermore the 2 lowerst octaves are underrepresented. I'm gonna try out the FUT (v1.4) F/W update.UPDATE 05/24/2023: The Firmware V.1.4 is checking all the boxes, well done!

Bought a Denafrips Pontus II 12 DAC. Parcel arrived as promised well save packed, fast shipment, tracking info was provided, very good and fast communication, best way via Email. Many payment options, which I do like as a customer.The Denafrips Pontus is well solid build, works as it should, keeping the bit analog" sound I liked to keep - great! Really needs burn in time!"
