Мелнишки пирамиди

Loved this walk up to the sandstone pyramids from Melnik. They are spectacular! We did a walk that took us along the ridge of one of the ‘pyramids’ and the views were breathtaking. If you enjoy walking this is definitely worth a visit.

The place is not suitable for little children as it's quite steep and can be dangerous.Aside from the pyramids themselves, there are several nearby attractions worth exploring, including the nearby Rozhen Monastery, Melnik and St. George church where Prepodobna Stoyna lived near Zlatolist village. The Melnik town is known for its traditional architecture and wine-making.Overall, the Sandstone Pyramids are a must-see destination for anyone visiting Bulgaria. The natural beauty of the area, combined with the cultural and historical significance of nearby attractions, make it a perfect day trip or weekend getaway.

it feels like I was in a fairytale. Wine places, Monastery, story of Babavanga are values of this place. I wish I could stay one night but it was out of my budget. Still I enjoyed my day.

Страхотно място с усещане за простор и невероятни гледки, особено по залез.Най-бързо се стига от Роженския манастир, като началото на пътеката е по краткия асфалтов път между паркинга на манастира и самия манастир. Има дърво с пейка, където е и табелата, сочеща пътеката. В началото трябва да минете електропастир. Малко след това има разклонение, по което трябва да поемете наляво по мелнишката екопътека, за която има табела. Следва беседка, след която пътеката се стеснява.Пътеката е песъчлива и на 1-2 места трябва да се минава с повишено внимание. Тя продължава към Мелник.Изминаването на пътеката от Роженския манастир до първото място с гледки отнема 15-20 минути.

This is a unique place that anyone who's going to Melnik must see! The panoramic view from the ecotrail that leads to the monastery is breath-taking. I strongly recommend you to walk the whole hiking path to get the most out of this natural phenomenon's beauty.

Lovely village in a very unusual setting. My opinion is Melnik is a definite must place to visit. The whole village is superbly looked after by the residents and my impression is that it is superior to the famous village in the Sredna Gora mountains, not far from Panaguerishte
