Hair of the Dog Hostel

Has to be one of the best hostels in Europe. For anyone that is into party and having fun hair of the Dog is a must go. The hosts James and Tonnie really know how to keep the fun flowing during day and night. Had a blast there and will be back for sure.

Amazing hostel. Great atmosphere and incredible garden. Staff was great and Georg couldn’t have been better and he makes delicious dinners for guests. Nearest beach to the hostel is perfect and I even saw dolphins there. Thank you :)

Staff & volunteers are superstars and James and Tonnie put in the extra effort to make everyone feel welcome and included. This is a true party hostel and beers are only 2 BGN, the rooms are away from the action and always clean as well as the bathrooms. There is a great social atmosphere here and was a fun stay.

Играхме бир понг, пихме бири и гледахме стендъпи с хора, които не се познавахме, но това не пречеше да се чувстваме като удома.Носете си английския, никой не говори български.Абсолютно препоръчвам с двете ръце!

Could not get out of here fast enough! Located far from town, expect a 7 to 15 euro taxi, one way! Paid for two nights, stayed for one. Found a way better place in town, where you can meet intelligent people with a little more going on.The credit card machine is broken, so be sure to bring cash! No coffee, just beer! A professional drinkers hostel, nothing more. Strange people, low energy, Ick!

This is a really cool place and a great way to meet people. James and Tonnie do a great job of accommodating the guests. The rooms are located away from the outside (but covered) bar area where all the action is. The music shuts down outside at 23:00h but people can bring the party downstairs to continue playing beer pong or other drinking games. The upstairs common area is a great place to relax at any time, day or night. Plenty of bathrooms and showers around the place as well. The kitchen utensils often get left behind the bar since they frequently host cookouts, so just ask for them and there will be plenty to choose from. It’s located on a hill in a quiet neighborhood so there’s no traffic or outside noise. Drinks are roughly $1 USD as well, which includes rum and vodka shots. Stay here if you go to Varna. You’ll be glad you did.

I wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone who wants to meet interesting people and spend time in a warm and friendly environment! I loved everything about this place : garden, host, localization, food and drinksand most of all people! <3 The week here flew by in the blink of an eye, I hope I will come back here someday.If you have any doubts before booking - stop having them! Book as soon as possible :D

I was originally just going to stay at the hostel for 2 days, but had to extend my stay for 8 days. Because this place is just to amazing. James and Tonnie are just the perfect people to run this hostel. The atmosphere and the activities here are so fun. They got drinking games for days like beerpong, battleshots, flip pong, card games beer bongs, and they have bingo cards for visitors. Different parties every night in golden sands. They also got a very nice cinema room to chill and watch movies. This is my favourite place on earth right now. I felt welcome from the first moment I stepped foot in this place. I will definitely come back here. ❤️✌️

This is honestly one of the nicest hostels I ever stayed in!Almost every day is packed with events you can sign in for, and the hosts are really nice.

This is a hostel with a party/social atmosphere run by an amazing couple with the help of great and fun support staff. The rooms and toilets are clean along with common areas. The kitchen I believe lacks the attention other areas get as it’s dirty, unorganised and lacks cutlery, coffee mugs and cooking utensils but it gets the job done. In my stay, a number of the staff were sick and I may not have been able to fully experience what the hostel is to offer (this didn’t detract from my stay, them being fully healthy would have added to it!).
