Having had problems with hereditary gum disease for decades I was left with just one tooth in my upper jaw and 9 in my lower ( most of which were loose ) one of which was broken off at gum level.I had been researching the possibilty of implants for years, but could not afford UK prices.I probably don't need to tell you what having such bad teeth does to your self confidence. You try to avoid opening your mouth and even conversing with people you don't know well. You do lose your smile and it's difficult to eat properly.Having been left a small inheritance when my mother passed away in December 2021, I decided to spend it on having my mouth fully restored. This was not enough to do it in Scotland or anywhere else in the UK so I started to look for clinics with good reviews elsewhere in Europe where prices were lower.The first ones I tried, in Turkey and Hungary would only do the implants after bone grafts, sinus lifts and membrane transplants as I had severe bone loss, in my upper jaw in particular.I then found out about immediate loading monobloc basal implants.I was on the verge of going to have this procedure done, also in Hungary, but they would not give a final price and every procedure was itemised. They also insisted I be examined at their London clinic, which I did. An expensive and wasted journey from the Isle of Skye ( where I live ).So I looked for other clinics doing this procedure and came across Smile Dental Services in the beautiful city of Sofia, Bulgaria.I read the reviews, got a quote for the treatment, and decided this was the right clinic.I arrived in Sofia on 26th of February this year.The next day I met the Smile team in their small, clean well equiped clinic. These lovely people know what they are doing, they are relaxed confident and professional.Fees paid and x-ray taken, Dr Dimitrov arrives. He studies the x-ray and then off we go...3 hours later, I have no teeth, no pain and 6 implants in each jaw.A taxi then returned me to my hotel.Obviously after such high level dental surgery there is bleeding and swelling along with numbness from the local anaesthetic.I had to stay up late into the night, not because of any pain, but so I didn't get blood on the bed !!Casts are taken of your mouth throughout the procedure and on the next day I walked around the old city of Sofia until I was messaged to return to the clinic.The prosthetic technician was there and so were my long term temporary bridges for a trial fitting !!The next day, March 1st, these were ready, they were fitted and I had wonderful new teeth. In 3 days !! The first of March is an important day in Bulgarian culture... Martenitsa, it signals the start of spring and I was presented with red and white Martenitsi wristbands by both the hotel Orborishte 63, where I was staying, and the dental nurse at Smile. Lovely gestures from lovely people.I just cannot recommend this team enough. If you have missing teeth, bone loss and gum disease issues..these folk can sort it in less than a week.It is now just over 2 weeks since my new teeth were fitted. They are comfortable, look amazing, and feel natural. I can't wait to return in 6-18 months time, when the implants are fully integrated into the bone, to have my permanent bridges placed.Just 2 things to addTake plenty of swabs to absorb the blood after the operation.Yoghurt and soft tinned fish are good when you have no teeth for a day or two.Don't hesitate, you've found what you were looking for !!Dave Patfield

Couldn’t have asked for more. new teeth all fitted relatively pain free two visits well worth the money the team here are very nice giving all care as needed for you and your teeth I have spent a whole year without pain with the temporary teeth the first time I can every remember no pain in my mouth, now my teeth are complete this week, they look and feel amazing. I would recommend anyone to come here for a consultation and treatment my husband is next for his teeth!!!!This truly is last chance dentistry when you have no other options full mouth restoration, wish I had done years ago I am so happy thanks everyone for my new teeth and smile.

I can not speak highly enough about this dental clinic.Having done some research,I found this one to be reasonably priced, and the location from the airport is very convenient.Having come from the UK.A very professional setting, clean, and very modern.The staff are all ever so friendly.I’ve received a first class service from Smile and the team from the moment I depart the airport with a driver waiting for you on hand to take you to your accommodation to leaving Sofia for the airport.Their pleasant driver is on hand to take you back to the airport no matter what time your flight is.Thank you so much Smile clinic…

Здравейте.Имам поставени 14 - 15 импланта с които до днес нямам проблеми.Един зъб Нr.6 нямаше кост и ми направиха изграждане с цел при етап 2 да се постави имплант.Супер обслужване. Всички бяха двойно ангажирани, нямам думи. Благодаря на екипа, ще се радвам на етап 2 да срещна доктор Димитров. И довиждане, ако би било както трябва завинаги по отношение на зъбите.Човек трябва да бъде твърдо решен за това което предприема, както и да има търпение за завършен резултат. After much searching for a good dental Clinic to carry out full mouth restoration we came across the Smile Dental Clinic and read their numerous positive reviews. Both my Sister and I decided we wanted to go with them and we’re very pleased with the results. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and answered all our queries, we both had check ups everyday of the process. Despite our gum problems they were able to carry out the procedure and implant our temporary teeth which we are very pleased with. We were able to stay in an apartment very close to the Dental Clinic which helped during our recovery and appointments and I would definitely recommend Smile and the team for this type of procedure.

Full Mouth Restoration - Fantastic Results.I cannot praise this team enough for the amazing results they have given me. I had been wanting to have the perfect smile for most of my life but was unable to afford it until recently. I'm so happy I went with Smile Dental Services in Sofia because the team were amazing. Like most people I'm not a good dental patient, however the team put me at ease as soon as I arrived and I underwent my surgery immediately after my x-rays. my team was Dr. Sevgin Mutalibov and Lidia, and they were wonderfully patient with me. Before they proceed with the surgery you have an ECG, and they monitor your heart rate and blood pressure throughout the operation, you are also given intravenous pain medication and sedation to help you relax, plus the usual numbing you have at the dentist, so you do not feel anything during the operation. After the operation you have a further x-ray and they give you the instructions you need to follow for aftercare, then you rest for the remainder of the day.You have several check-ups following the operation until day 3 when you try your new teeth for the first time. These are then altered for a perfect fit and look before you have them fitted properly the following day. You then have a further check-up to ensure the bite is perfect once you have eaten solid food. In other words, they do a very thorough job and explain very carefully what you can and can't do over the following months.I would not hesitate to recommend Smile Dental Services to anyone who is looking to have full mouth restoration, since returning home to the UK I have had so many compliments on how natural they look and no one can believe these are just the temporary ones, rather than the permanent ones I'll have in a year.Yes there is some discomfort and swelling after the operation but that's to be expected, you can't have all your teeth removed without expecting some discomfort, but it's nothing that can't be treated with normal painkillers and some rest.If you are looking for the perfect smile then I highly recommend Smile Dental Services and their wonderful team.

Second Stage (Permanent Hybrid Bridges)I am absolutely delighted with my final permanent bridges, I was in Sofia for more than 2 weeks as the final process takes time with professional modelling and achieving the feel and look for to have 2nd stage completed. The communication is fantastic, staff are so accommodating. I picked June as the weather was lovely and the Sofia city is a lovely place for daily walks. Thank you again all the staff at the Smiles as you do walk away with a smile.
