I’ve applied for an open position as Talent Acquisition Specialist. I have more than 9 years experience as a recruiter, HR specialist and project manager.The day after my application a woman named Teodora called me for a quick phone interview. The conversation was pretty smooth and casual until I started asking questions about the position - what is the team like, what are the demands, with how much candidates should I contact per day, etc. Teodora /the recruiter/ didn’t know nothing, she didn’t have any answers for my questions. She said that until now nobody from the candidates she recruited asked her such questions. To check my IT knowledge Teodora asked me what’s the difference between Linux and SQL, I answered and she said “Oh I actually don’t know the difference but Ok, good answer”…. For real and she is a recruiter in your company?!?She asked me several times what salary do I expect and I explained that I can expect any salary based on the ZERO information she provided.. I explained that If I expect a salary based on that zero info later if I start work and realise that my expectations weren’t quite correct, not me nor the company will be happy and we will unfortunately end our joint work.Our conversation continued for 25 minutes.. Finally she told me that my behaviour was rude.. and our conversation ended there with my apology.Teodora wasn’t informed at all what she was doing on her position. She didn’t know nothing about Recruitment at all. Zero correct questions asked from her side, zero knowledge about the actual job position..UpSkill has a strong reputation online with strong customer service standards, is a great company to work with. I’m voting with 1 star based on my experience with an employee of yours named Teodora on a position recruiter, working in Sofia, Bulgaria! She doesn’t have any professional skills or knowledge regarding her position and duties.
