I booked private lessons for my children aged 9 & 11 with Smart Ski Academy in February 2023 for four days. They had a great time with Renny who put them at ease immediately, spent time getting to know them and looked after them beautifully, giving them really good tuition and having lots of fun. Their skiing progressed brilliantly in our time there and they both really loved it. It allowed me to enjoy a holiday and relax knowing they were safe and happy. We would absolutely not hesitate to recommend Smart Ski Academy for both lessons and ski hire and will definitely be going to them when we return to Bansko. Thank you for a wonderful week!

I cannot recommend SMART SKI Academy enough. The experience in the shop is stress free and the team demonstrate that they care about their clients. The quality of the teaching is second to none, I have skied for 20+yrs and Bobby very quickly identified the bad habits I had picked up and got to work ironing those out. Nina has taken two beginners in a just a few days to confident parallel skiers with the correct base to progress into accomplished riders. She expertly adapts her teaching style to meet the individual needs of her clients. This is not a 'follow an instructor around a ski resort' ski school.... The team are committed to achieving the continuous improvement of their clients whatever level they are at. The whole experience of SMART SKI Academy can be summed up as; Caring, attentive, adaptive, and challenging, which produces excellent results.

We took a two days course for 3 beginners. We got an equipment and a Ski Pass from the school for a very attractive price.Our guide was named Zamfir and he was super patient and professional that didnt give up on us until we got enough confidence to go up for more challenging routes. Amazing weekend! Definitely, next time in Bansko i will go to study more techniques with Zamfir at SmartSkiAcademy ;)

Reni and Zamfir have taught our two youngest and all we can say is see you next year. They both want to be with their instructors who are patient and friendly and their improvement is brilliant. Nina and Nic run a great family business that is friendly, helpful and accommodating in everything that they do. As per the instructions of the kids, we'll see you next year.

I could not have been happier! It was awesome, I was a beginner learning to snowboard and I took classes with one of the teachers! Her name was Reni! She was very experienced (16 years of snowboarding) and she was really nice! She explained everything so carefully and we made the most out of the time that we had together! (Reni even gave me a candy). I felt like I had been snowboarding for years and not for the first time! She offered to help in the following days if i needed something but luckily I was taught well enough to be able to handle stuff on my own! I 100% recommend it!

I initially had ski hire from Smart Ski in January, it was so efficient and personal that we decided to go back a second time, and added on lessons. We were doing parallel turns in just two days thanks to Reni. Would definitely recommend, exceptional teaching, exceptional service. Friendly, hospitable and caring, wouldn’t go anywhere else, see you next year.

I booked a two-hour ski lesson with Zamfir, wanting to improve my technique and was taught the correct posture and movements step by step. True professionals, friendly and patient and now I feel much more in control even at higher speeds. Thoroughly recommend!
