Balchik Airfield is located on an area of 3700 daa, 2 km northwest from the central part of Balchik. The cities of Varna, Dobrich and Kavarna can be reached by car in less than 45 min, and the resorts of Albena, Golden Sands, as well as the three luxury golf resorts - Thracian Cliffs Golf&Beach Resort, Black Sea Rama and Lighthouse Golf&SPA Resort are located under 30 min drive. Balchik airfield can be used by non-commercial aircraft with MTOW up to 5700 kg. The airfield is characterized by clean approaches and favourable winds. There is a concrete runway with total length of 2498 m and width of 60 m. There is a hangar providing space for parking small aircraft.
